The philosophy of the College of Environmental Design and Management is to produce skilled professionals who understand the relationship between the built environment and human society. The programme is designed to equip students with the theoretical knowledge and practical skills necessary for effective planning, design, and management of physical environments. Through an integrated curriculum that combines design principles, environmental science, and management strategies, students will be prepared to address contemporary challenges in urbanization, sustainability, and environmental conservation.

🎯 OBJECTIVES

The aim of the programme is to provide holistic education in environmental design and management that enhances students' technical competence, creativity, and professional skills. The programme objectives are to:

  • Equip students with comprehensive knowledge of environmental design principles, urban planning theories, and sustainable development practices.
  • Develop practical skills in spatial analysis, geographic information systems, and environmental impact assessment.
  • Inculcate professional ethics and standards required for effective practice in urban and regional planning, estate management, and surveying.
  • Prepare students to address contemporary challenges in urbanization, housing, infrastructure development, and environmental conservation.
  • Enable students to apply research skills in solving real-world environmental and developmental problems.
