The philosophy of the College of Pharmacy is centered on the advancement of pharmaceutical sciences and the development of pharmacists who are experts in medicines and their safe, effective use. The programme is designed to produce pharmacy professionals who possess comprehensive knowledge of drug discovery, development, and distribution, combined with strong clinical skills and ethical practice. Through an integrated curriculum that combines pharmaceutical sciences with clinical pharmacy practice, students are prepared to optimize patient care, contribute to public health, and advance the pharmacy profession.

🎯 OBJECTIVES

The aim of the programme is to produce competent, innovative, and ethically responsible pharmacists. The programme objectives are to:

  • Equip students with comprehensive knowledge of pharmaceutical sciences including pharmacology, pharmaceutics, medicinal chemistry, and pharmacognosy.
  • Develop clinical skills in patient assessment, medication therapy management, and pharmaceutical care.
  • Inculcate professional ethics, standards, and legal responsibilities in pharmacy practice.
  • Prepare graduates to provide pharmaceutical services in community pharmacies, hospitals, industry, and regulatory agencies.
  • Enable students to apply research skills in drug development, formulation, and clinical trials.
