Wesley University, Ondo Announces 13th Convocation Ceremony: "Wesleyan Heritage"

Wesley University, Ondo is set to hold its 13th Convocation Ceremony, themed "Wesleyan Heritage: A Panacea for Physical, Social, and Spiritual Growth".

The event will span for four days, from Thursday, November 21st to Sunday, November 24th, 2024 featuring series of activities aimed at celebrating academic excellence and promoting holistic development.

This year’s theme, "Wesleyan Heritage: A Panacea for Physical, Social, and Spiritual Growth," underscores the university’s mission to nurture well-rounded individuals.

The event will kick off with a Convocation Crusade, held daily from November 21st to 23rd, between 4:00 PM and 6:30 PM. On Friday, November 22nd, the university will host the 13th Convocation Lecture, Alumni, and Endowment Program from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The pinnacle of the celebration will be the Conferment of Degrees and Awards on Saturday, November 23rd, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, followed by a Thanksgiving Service on Sunday, November 24th at 10:00 AM.

Prominent figures expected to grace the occasion include His Eminence Dr. Oliver Ali Aba, Prelate of Methodist Church Nigeria; Dr. Paul Enenche, Chancellor and Chairman of the 13th Convocation Ceremony; and Prof. Obeka S. Sunday (Rt. Rev.), Vice Chancellor of Wesley University. The Guest Lecturer, Evangelist Sunday Ogwuche from God’s Care Mission Inc., Okpo, Kogi State, along with other anointed ministers of God, will deliver uplifting messages.

According to the Vice-Chancellor Right Reverend Professor Sunday Obeka, this year’s convocation promises to be a memorable occasion, celebrating not only academic achievements but also spiritual and moral growth. 

He further encouraged the university community and the entire public to join in the celebration.
